Evangeline’s Mixology 101: The Incognito & French 1226

Want to try your hand at being a master mixologist, all from the comfort of your home? Visit Calistoga reached out to our friends at Evangeline restaurant who graciously shared two of their favorite cocktails. All you need is a few key ingredients, a good muddler (and strong wrist!) and you are good to go. Cheers!

THE INCOGNITO (pictured)           

2 oz Gin (Evangeline loves Ginny Gin from Sonoma)
3/4 oz passion fruit puree
1/2 oz of fresh lime juice (about 1/2 of a lime)
3 to 4 leaves of fresh mint

MUDDLE, MUDDLE, MUDDLE AND SHAKE

Pour over in a Collins glass (with the crushed ice) and finish with a ginger beer, such as Fever Tree.

THE FRENCH 1226           

1 oz of Gin
3/4 oz of fresh Lemon juice (1/2 of a lemon)
1 sugar cube
1/2 oz of St. Germain liqueur

STIR, STIR, STIR AND STRAIN

Pour in a champagne flute, top of with your favorite bubbles (Schramsberg is a Calistoga favorite) & garnish with a lemon peel.
