The goal of Vörös Cellars is to produce wonderful handmade wines in small lots to enjoy now or to cellar for decades, if you have a patient nature. In 2012, winemaker Fernando Candelario made a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon from the wonderful Frediani vineyard in Calistoga for Vörös Cellars, producing just 105 cases. In 2013 and 2014 Vörös was able to obtain some of the most sought after fruit in the valley from Atlas Peak. With the addition of a Carneros Chardonnay in 2014 to the varietals, they made a Knight’s Valley Malbec and plan to continue purchasing grapes from these amazing growers. All wines are aged in 100% french oak barrels.
