As part of Calistoga Wellness Week and Earth Day, we are proud to present the following Calistoga Napa Green wineries who are committed to not only crafting highly sought-after wines, but producing them with a minimal impact on the environment.
What is Napa Green? Created in the mid-2000’s to encourage and expand sustainable, responsible wineries, Napa Green offers a certification for both vineyards and wineries. The Napa Green Certified Land and Winery programs validate their commitment of caring for Nature, Employees and the Community. The third party audit upholds standards from soil-to-bottle for sustainable grape growing and winemaking.
Napa Green Certified Land recognizes growers whose environmental compliance matches established standards in practices such as erosion control, water conservation and watershed stewardship.
Napa Green Certified Wineries implement more than 100 sustainability standards that encompass the entire operation – from production to administration to hospitality. The criteria include reductions to energy, water and waste and lowering the overall carbon footprint.
