A nonstop ringing cell phone in a café, a woman at the next table who takes a chance and answers it, and a dead man with a dodgy past, propel the play in motion. It is one woman’s journey to face her expectations about decency, redemption and the need to connect in a technologically fanatical world. “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” is a darkly mesmerizing tale that illustrates how a device we have come to depend on can be used to both unite and isolate.
