Stay Vegan in Calistoga

Traveling as a vegan can be challenging at times. While most restaurants offer some type of vegan option, it’s comforting to know which dining establishments accommodate. In Calistoga, vegan visitors may enjoy these dishes at the following restaurants:

All Seasons Bistro has a salad and risotto, made vegan per request, but on the menu: Saffron Risotto with lemon zest, marjoram, cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper ($29)

Brannan’s Grill presents a number of salads which may be made without cheese, and a choice plate made specifically for vegans who like a little spice. On the menu for vegans:

  • The Wedge: iceberg lettuce with Point Reyes blue cheese, crispy bacon, and cherry tomatoes ($14)
  • Brannan’s Caesar: a bed of whole leaf romaine sprinkled with garlic croutons, boquerones, and topped with shaved Parmesan ($12)
  • Roasted Beet Salad, mache greens, feta, mandarin, topped with horseradish sherry vinaigrette ($12)

As part of the iconic Indian Springs Resort, Sams Social Club offers choices on every level, from snacks and starters to soups and salads, leading to a main course. On the menu for vegans:

  • Butter Lettuce Salad with avocados from Brokaw Nursery, with added radish and micro herbs, topped with walnut vinaigrette ($16)
  • Local Hodo Tofu with forbidden rice, jalapeño cilantro tahini, pickled carrots, hot pepper vinaigrette, puffed rice noodle ($27)
  • Sauteed Broccoli de Cicco, chili flake and lemon ($8)

The menu at Solbar is vegan friendly as they work to provide an appetizer, entree and dessert vegan options upon request. One of the most popular items on the menu: the Sol fries dusted with picante spice served with lime aioli ($8)
