Clos Pegase has 450 acres in Napa Valley made up of four vineyards, each with unique characteristics that bring out the very best of the grapes grown each vintage. The winery design was completed by acclaimed architect Michael Graves in 1987 and includes the iconic building, the idyllic grounds, and unique caves. Out of 96 design teams that entered, Mr. Graves was the winner of a 1984 architectural design competition in association with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to design the Clos Pegase winery.
The winery is surrounded by the Applebone Vineyard, one of four of our estate vineyards which together total 450 acres throughout Napa Valley. The entire estate is simultaneously majestic and peaceful, and the perfect place in Napa Valley to spend the day.
The result is a seamless integration of the building structure and grounds making a location that is at the same time majestic and tranquil.
