From a classic hot springs resort with a fresh new look, to the newest additions to the dining scene and an outdoor movie theater, Calistoga might look a little different when you return. Make sure you make your reservation to wellness at Dr. Wilkinson’s Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs and enjoy the established resort’s (est. 1952) brand new look. Book “The Works” mudbath is the recently unveiled spa and relax by the outdoor pools before you indulge in the in the comfort food, with a health food twist, at the resorts new restaurant House of Better. Driven by Trevor Logan (of San Francisco’s Green Chile Kitchen), House of Better is now open, with a fresh take on wellness.

If you are in the mood for some international cuisine, head to Amaro Italian Kitchen, the newly opened Italian restaurant at the Mt. View Hotel. Owner Dan Kaiser and Chef Taylor Jones all have ties to Italy-from Northern Italy, Florence and Naples in the south-and the menu reflects this breadth which gnocchi, pasta, braised meat and pizza, along with an Italian focused wine list and one of the most extensive selections of Amaro in the country.

How about a movie under the stars? Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night is Dinner & Movie Night at Mount View Hotel & Spa’s new “The Moonshine Theater” the Mount View! Dine first the outdoor Plam Tree patio then enjoy a mystery or romantic movie as you relax in the antique paired movie chairs-socially distanced for comfort and safety.
