Festival Napa Valley: Pacific Symphony with pianist Tianxu An

The Pacific Symphony and outstanding young Chinese pianist Tianxu An make their Festival debuts in an evening of musical masterpieces. An takes center stage for Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto, a tour de force of sweeping melodies, rich orchestral textures, and staggering technical demands. The program also includes Tchaikovsky’s shimmering and dramatic Swan Lake Suite, the quintessential ballet score and one of classical music’s most recognized works. Gavriel Heine conducts.
