
UpStage Napa Valley Presents “Third” by Wendy Wasserstein
Upstage Napa Valley will present the play, “Third,” by playwright Wendy Wasserstein this May. Performances will take place on weekends, Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 18, at Grace Episcopal Church on Spring Street in St. Helena. Friday and Saturday nights the play will start at 7:30 p.m., and there will be a Sunday matinée at 2:30 p.m. each weekend. The performance will be directed by Sharie Renault, UpStage Napa Valley’s Artistic Director
Laurie, an academic in a small New England College, is played by Rhonda Bowen. Wasserstein devoted her career to depicting intelligent, nuanced women. She was the first woman playwright to receive a Tony award in 1989.
