LÈGÉRE ARTS

707 341-3756

Thérèse Légère of Légère Arts recently moved to the enchanting and inspiring Calistoga. Seeing through the artist’s eye; she is documenting the colors, textures and light of the vineyards and mountains. Her oil painting technique is initially Impressionist followed by drawing out certain contours. This process creates a stain glass effect that enhances the colors and light.

Thérèse Légère’s personal journey as an artist began in her childhood. Born in Montréal, Québec; she grew up in the Richelieu Valley, fertile with famous Québecois artists. Légère went on to study Fine Arts at the Collège St-Laurent in Montréal. She was strongly influenced and formed by Jean Lefébure; a student and artist of the Montréal Automatiste movement in the fifties.
